Modern Thrifter in the Old World met Pieceology one serendipitous Italian summer in the Cinque Terre and things have never been the same since. Austin, Texas needed Italian vintage and Monterosso, Italy was overflowing with it. Here is a selection of  my handpicked pieces that graced the shelves of Pieceology Vintage’s  first pop up shop last Sunday!

Meet April fashion blogger and mastermind behind Pieceology Vintage. She is wearing a dead stock Pinko vest that was discovered among the amazing finds from my trusty Cinque Terre vendors.

Love the subtle details on this suede and leather jacket and silk skirt.

This turquoise tunic is from my sassy ladies who just love that I buy the good stuff and don’t let it fall into the hands of pushy old thrifters.

Prints and colors, lie food, are just better in Italy.

Made in Italy denim Jacket turned made in Monterosso when I embellished the pockets with some great Aztecs-pattern wool fabric handed down to me by an old tailor in town.

This dress was made in a small boutique in La Spezia that no longer makes dresses in-house. I love finding relics of the dying sartorial passion that once reigned over La Spezia.

This perfectly Woodstock dress made it all the way from New York to Liguria. I am thinking this dress saw more than we can even imagine!

Likewise, this dead stock piece was picked in Milan and sent down to Monterosso for a makeover. It was snipped, cut and sewn and made into a set and styled to perfection.

When people have to downsize and clean out their closets  it makes me very happy! These boots along with a few other pair including a pair for my 5 year old niece belonged to one previous owner in the charming and elegant city of Lucca.

Some of these items are still available online at Pieceology Vintage.

If you have a pop-up, online or just plain vintage shop and are looking for someone to run around Italy and pick for you I am the girl to email!
